Time to Unwind and Embrace the Calmness of the Nature in Anawangin Zambales

Anawangin, Zamables
For most of my time in a year I spend my time working in our office doing such things that make me stress and exhausted. Time passed by and and everything has changed in the way of living, it's a super fast paced we should cope with. The way of living in metro is super hectic and difficulty, competition is always there and nothing to do about it.

Last week, we had vacation break due Holy Week. Most of the employed and working people took advantage of this season to travel have their vacation, relax or rest and for others to reflect for Jesus Christ sacrifice die in the cross to save the world from sins.

During on a 4 days break, I tried something that I never experienced before and that is to go to Anawangin, Zambales. It's very popular to my colleagues and friends they usually promote it as a great camping destination. I asked them why? Most of them told me that it's a lone area surrounded by mountains and invulnerable to drive through by land. The only way for you to get there is to across the sea of Brgy: Pundaquit, Zambales.

Before going to Anawangin, Zambales Here Most Important Things You Should Bring:

Flash Light - The area has no electricity supply this is your equipment at night.

Rope - After you swim, you need to hang your wet clothes.

Canned food (de lata) - there a sari sari store the but the price is so expensive, in order for you cost-less for food just bring your own food.

Uling (charcoal) - for food cooking, grilling seafoods or meat

Tent - This is the most special among them all, you need to bring or rent this thing for you to have transcient.

Knife - serve as can opener, a cutter for firewood that you are going to use for cooking and bonfire at night.

Drinking Water - a 5 liters water in Anawangin costs 200Php so if I were you please bring you own drinking water.

Butane Gas Stove - if you don't like to bring charcoal and you more convenient in using gas stove it is much better.

I hope the listed things above gives you an informational detail for you to get ready going to Anawangin. Mean while, below are the steps on how to get in Anawangin Zamables.

Here are the steps on how to get in Anawangin Island:

If you are from Manila to Zambales:

There are 3 victory bus liners in Manila, one in Cubao Quezon City, Sampaloc Manila and teh alst one is in Caloocan. You can choose any of the bus terminals if where it is convenient to you.

Ride a bus with a signage of Iba, Zamabales it will direct transport you to San Anotnio, Zambales. (ask the driver to drop you off in San Antonio, Zambales Bayan), from there you can ride a tricycle going to Brgy: Pundaquit. (I guess it is a 40 pesos ride only for a single person, some of the drivers there are taking advantage to their passengers once they know that you are a tourist so be wise once you are getting there) once you get in Brgy: Pundaquit it's just a 10 minutes away walking in shore and take a boat ride from Pundaquit going to Anawangin.

It's a 30-40 minutes boat ride from Pundaquit to Anawangin. To summarize the travel it's approximately 4-5 hours travel time.

What are the things I can do in Anawangin?

Swimming - You can feel the warm water of the beach, sea shell finding and others.
Capones Island

Island hopping - from Anawangin to Capones Island (Grand Capon or Capon Grande Island) and from Capones Island to Camara Island. One of the greatest scenery of the Capones Island is there LightHouse.

  1. Anawangin is one of the best camping places I had been through. The nature is so fresh, breeze of the ocean are so relaxing and lastly, this one of the perfect locations where you can unwind and make your holiday enjoyful. Although, they don't have white sand beaches in Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan still they are one of the best beaches in the Philippines
